The Josiah Bunting III Papers document Bunting’s tenure as president of Hampden-Sydney College from 1977-1987 along with some documents relating to his tenure at Lawrenceville School and later at the Virginia Military Institute. Primarily dating between 1977-1987, the collection includes copies of public addresses, publications, correspondence, photos, newspaper clippings, items relating to the presidential search in 1976, and items relating to his departure and his work after departure.

Bound manuscript detailing the life and memorial of Lancaster Brown, a part-time employee of the Chi Phi Fraternity at Hampden-Sydney College. The manuscript was assembled by Hampden-Sydney's Chi Phi Alumni of the 1960s, who have also funded a scholarship in Mr. Brown's memory.

DeMuth to Dr. Graves Thompson that provides information on the acquisition of the collection, as well as an exercise folio wherein Dr. Holladay recorded history and notes on the Hampden-Sydney class of 1890.
