Business documents and correspondence of Professor James R. Thornton. There is also correspondence in this box to or from Prof. L.L. Holladay, President Richard McIlwaine, Col. J.P. Fitzgerald (Clerk of the Board of Trustees), and Mrs. R.L. (Lavinia) Dabney. There are copies of college insurance policies, college deposit slips and receipts, and personal correspondence of Prof. Thornton.
